A New Addition - another set of Garden Boxes for the Mother's Day!

The lettuce was growing so well - we decided to add 16 more growing spaces into our garden.  We "shoe-horned" them into the corner and they are 100% dedicated to being salad greenery boxes.

We planted a couple of packages of a lettuce called "Rocket Salad" (coltivata da orto) from Ferry-Morse seed company.  It germinated so fast - we planted seeds on the Sunday of Mother's Day and had sprouts coming up three days later.

So I guess the "rocket" part of the lettuce is how fast it grows.  If the weather continues on the current trend - it will be perfect lettuce weather for the next couple of weeks.  Keep your fingers crossed.
